Who we are: The Staff of Magilani Safaris
Magilani Safaris is the realization of the dream of a group of friends in love with Africa and its unique nature in the world: a tourist agency specialized in safaris, designed and organized to offer an original but friendly and comfortable experience. For us at Magilani Safaris, friendship means first of all sharing something special, that real magic born from the encounter between different worlds that is THE SAFARI.
The staff of Magilani Safaris has different professional experiences ranging from marketing, to the management of commercial realities, to the organization of trips: united by the passion for travel and the desire to continue to grow, we are committed to offering those who choose to travel with Magilani Safaris, the same incredible experience that made us fall in love with safaris. We want to make many different people and generations travel, we want to add the unique experience of the Safari to your personal baggage. We want to show you breathtaking sunsets and the stride of a cheetah, let you listen to the roar of a lion and the bark of an elephant. We want to tell you about the instinctive constancy of a world in which man is simply a guest.
For Magilani Safaris, the safari is an authentic experience where all participants are invited to discover the infinite ways in which the natural world expresses all its intimate beauty. Every trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it is therefore important not to face them alone and to let them advise you on how to choose the solution that best suits your needs.
Why Magilani?
The Maasai tribe has origins in the sixteenth century, traditions and stories intertwine and are handed down from father to son from generation to generation, weaving unique and sometimes magical experiences.
Magilani is power, courage, above everyone, he never fails and is not afraid of anything. Magilani is spirit, it is the desire to live, Magilani is Africa.
We transfer this winning philosophy and admire the wonders of Africa through the proud eyes of Magilani.

We become the travelers this world deserves
Sustainable, Responsible, Solidarity
The cornerstones of our concept of travel are these three terms that we want to marry fully because we consider them fundamental, for our present but above all for our future.
Magilani Safaris demonstrates a strong commitment to responsible resource management, actively measuring and reducing the use of single-use and consumer goods, with a focus on minimizing the use of paper in internal office activities.
Concrete measures such as promoting digital communication, limiting unnecessary printing and encouraging the use of reusable alternatives are implemented consistently throughout the organization.
In addition, the company has adopted a formal policy that guides these efforts, ensuring a structured and continuous approach to reducing consumption, improving efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
To further strengthen its waste management practices, the company has partnered with https://www.okota.co/ (Okota), an organization specializing in waste management solutions, which supports the proper management and disposal of waste generated by our operations.
If you want more information write to us on sustenibility@magilani-safaris.com
To explain and analyze the 3 concepts of sustainability, responsibility and solidarity would take hours and hours but if we want to simplify and make them concrete in everyday life, we can give practical examples.
Clearly, what is written here can be applied both when we are at home in the streets of our city, and when we are on vacation in foreign countries and even more so when the country that hosts us is a country like Tanzania, rich in many aspects such as: culture, traditions, nature, minerals, etc., but poor in those services, which for Westerners are taken for granted, such as garbage disposal, irrigation systems, equipped stables or centralized sewage systems.
Sustainable tourism or travel focuses on respect for the environment, natural elements and local communities. To limit the impact on the environment, for example, it would be preferable to use collective means of transport, wanting to look at a side effect, you would have a cost to be shared with others, therefore cheaper.
If we then meet children asking us for water while traveling, we will have to be careful to leave plastic bottles as there is certainly no recycling system, and far from the cities there is not even undifferentiated collection, and therefore, perhaps, that bottle could immediately end up on the ground, inevitably polluting the territory (the decomposition of a plastic bottle is about 450 years). So you might think that in this case we should look at these children asking for water and deny them water? Of course not, but we will have to ask the guide who accompanies us how to satisfy the request and ensure respect for the environment.
The unique experience of a Sustainable Journey
with attention to respect for the environment, natural elements and local communities.
Being responsible, unlike the concept of sustainability where attention is paid to the environment, refers to the respect due to local cultures and traditions.
Before entering a hut of a host family, ask the guide how to behave and what to do or not to do during these moments.
For example, it would be wicked to offer candy to children, even though in our world, having candy is a good deed.
In their everyday lives, without toothbrushes, toothpastes and dentists ready to treat cavities, we would be giving a counterproductive gift.
On the other hand, it could be very welcome to buy, on the side of the roads, bunches of bananas or other fruit to give a source of income to the local community and more precisely to that family, and then donate the fruit to children who meet in the transfers.
Whether buying or donating, always be accompanied by the guide.
In the purchase, they could ask you for much more money than the local economy and giving out figures from the Western market in a much simpler market would be extremely reckless.
In the donation, it is necessary to have the correct and balanced situation, offering 20 children a bunch with only 5 bananas, could create discontent for others. Small tricks and small actions that will give smiles and celebrations to those who receive and awareness to you who donate.
Finally, the concept of solidarity implies a total immersion in the social stratum, it would be a different journey from what can be done in a few days or weeks as you decide to help physically with your work and economically with donations, organizations such as associations and NGOs. To achieve this goal, we at Magilani Safaris are committed to identifying and filtering those that are valid and consolidated projects and structures and of which we are sure about the use of donations and then verify their success, donating part of the proceeds of your trip.
