Safari Tanzania 2 days

We know that many people leave for Tanzania in order to reach Zanzibar and enjoy some sun and sea but the truth is that this area deserves to be discovered also for its most authentic nature and not only for the beach area full of resorts all-inclusive; for this reason some people seek a compromise and find one in booking a week or at least 5 days at sea, including 2 days of Safari.

Organizing a 2-day safari in Tanzania means having to choose extremely carefully what to see: time is really short and being able to identify some options can not be easy. The best solution? Definitely contact specialized operators who can help you, according to your tastes, to find a perfect safari for you or propose something personalized.

Surely, to choose where to go, you will have to take into account the time of year and of course also your tastes in order to buy the package that best suits your needs.

Safari in 2 days in Tanzania: what to see

As mentioned, in just two days the possibility of discovering Tanzania through a Safari is really limited; the best choice is starting from at least 5 days as for the Asante Sana safari but we understand that having limited holidays is important to make choices.
In two days you could dedicate yourself to Lake Manyara, seeing the 11 different ecosystems and stopping on the coasts to observe flamingos, pelicans and herons moving the next day to Ngorongoro where you can observe not only zebras and wildebeest but also elephants, lions and hyenas in addition to the famous crater.

Another proposal could be to focus for two whole days on Serengeti: here you can see closely the Big Five: elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards and buffaloes in their natural habitat within one of the protected areas recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Another variation could be to visit Lake Natron, known for its salt and alkaline basin and the largest flamingo community in the area. In addition to them you can observe many other waterfowl. You could then dedicate the second day to Tarangire where, in addition to seeing giraffes and elephants, you can discover a typical landscape with baobab.

Those who travel from December to March should instead concentrate on the Ndutu area: this location, not far from the protected area of Serengeti and Ngorongoro, is the chosen one for the great migration of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles. In this area you can visit Lake Masek where you can closely observe large predators.

How many days you need for a safari in Tanzania

We understand the desire for sun and relaxation, but maybe you should not mix the two types of vacation. The two-day safari can leave a bitter taste in your mouth because you’ll see very little. Among our safaris you can find proposals starting from 3 days but we want to tell you that the classic, that allows you to really discover the most famous areas, such as Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti then adding Arusha, lasts at least a week. If you insist that you want to book a two-day safari, you need to know that you have two choices: join a few group tours, or if you have a higher budget at your disposal, you can request a private safari with an authorized guide. We do not recommend you instead to do it yourself, you risk losing the goodies that only locals and experts can reveal, not to mention the need to make permits for entry into the parks and the need to know how to drive through the dirt roads of the parks and not.

Many choose to do a few days of Safari and then devote themselves to the island of Zanzibar where you can continue a holiday in Tanzania to discover the most beautiful beaches and reserves that protect turtles.
